Using home videos, interviews and footage from several of Bickford's never-before-seen productions, Ingram paints a portrait of an artist noted as much for his iconoclastic worldview as he is for his art...

"Medicine for Melancholy" : a love story of bikes and one-night stands told through two African-American twenty-somethings dealing with issues of class, identity, and the evolving conundrum of being a minority in rapidly gentrifying San Francisco --- a city with the smallest proportional black population of any other major American city.

They are screening on Thurs., Aug. 6 and Thurs., Aug. 20, respectively; both start at 7pm at Lowell Telecommunications Corporation, 246 Market St., Lowell.
