The Board would like wish everyone happy holidays and happy New Year! We have a very busy year ahead of us, so stay tuned to our monthly newsletter or visit our website for upcoming news, events and initiatives.

The Board held its quarterly meeting on December 15th at the Radisson Inn & Suites in Chelmsford. At the meeting, Russ Smith of Lowell Small Business Assistance Center and Bob Gilman of Enterprise Bank were recognized for their commitment and dedication to the Board and the Greater Lowell community over the years. This was their last meeting as members of the Board and we wish them well in their future endeavors.

The Pollard Memorial Library has a variety of events for patrons of all ages, including non-fiction book club, independent film night, movie matinees, lego club, mother goose on the loose, and preschool story time. Coming Dec. 30 for grades 5-12, help build a real gingerbread city!

Flying Orb Productions wins Grand Jury Prize in Screaming Ant Short Film Fest

Lowell-based Flying Orb Productions was awarded the Grand Jury Prize and Best Experimental Film in the online Screaming Ant Short Film Festival for their 20-minute film, A Fairy's Tale, shot entirely in Lowell. Congratulations to filmmaker Jim Higgins and his cast & crew at Flying Orb Productions!
