Lowell Farmers' Market opens Friday, July 10th, 4 PM

Calling all Locavores!

The grand opening of the Lowell Farmers' Market will be Friday, July 10th at 4:00 PM at the JFK Plaza with close to a dozen different farmers selling locally produced fruits, veggies, eggs, baked goods and delicious jams and preserves.
A cooking demonstration will also be featured each week.
The market will continue every Friday afternoon between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM (except for the Folk Festival Weekend when market vendors will be elsewhere in the downtown).
In case you haven't heard the term, Locavores are people who are committed to eating locally grown food because it is bett tasting, better for you, better for our local economy, and better for our global environment.
You can also get your very own Lowell Farmers' Market shopping bag with the Locavore mascot for only $3 to bring home all the fresh produce and baked goods you buy at the market.
