Greater Merrimack Valley Restaurant Showcase Week
August 1-8, 2009.
 Various Restaurants For one week this August, fine dining establishments across the greater Merrimack Valley region will be taking part in the Greater Merrimack Valley Restaurant Showcase Week. Lunches will be available starting at $9.09 and dinners starting at $23.09, and are sure to tantalize any palate. Lowell Art Walk 2009: Downtown Lowell's third annual Art Walk begins next week on July 15. Art Walk Lowell is a creative initiative to enliven Lowell's downtown storefronts during the summer of 2009 with displays from over 35 local artists. Art Walk Lowell will run through August 15 where local artists will create colorful, full-window displays on Market, Middle, Merrimack, Bridge, Palmer and Central streets in downtown Lowell. Local residents and Folk Festival patrons can pick up a map of the displays at local restaurants and retailers that will lead patrons from one storefront to the next. With the attached ballot, patrons can vote on their favorite artist display. At the end of the summer, votes will be tabulated and the winning artists will receive cash prizes. With each ballot you will automatically be entered into a raffle.  Prizes include local artwork and a free dinner for two!  Walk, Vote, Win!!!  Presented by the Arts league of Lowell, Cultural Organization of Lowell, Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce Business Committee and the City of Lowell.
