Cultural Organization of Lowell seeks board nominations, deadline is July 20

The Cultural Organization of Lowell is holding its Annual Meeting on August 17, 2011. At this time, the board is seeking nominations to serve on the board at two and three year terms. If you are interested, please send a resume and a letter of intent to lznunn@lowellma.gov by July 20, 2011 at 5pm. To learn more about COOL, please visit: www.cultureiscool.org or call 978-446-7162.

Ideally, a Board of Director candidate should demonstrate notable achievements in art, culture, the creative economy, business, education and/or public service; bring a range of skills, diverse perspectives and backgrounds to its deliberations; should believe in COOL’s mission of providing general support to the many cultural activities and institutions in the community through coordination, collaboration, outreach, and promotion; be able to adhere to COOL’s standards of creating a high quality cultural environment that offers appealing experiences to the City's diverse population; and which encourages people to participate in making, presenting, and preserving the culture of their community.
