Envisioning A Sustainable Lowell

mp1As Lowell embarks on the process of updating it's Comprehensive Master Plan from a sustainability perspective, the city seeks community input in building a new vision for the future. Join us for a public presentation by the City's Department of Planning and Development to help launch the public outreach component of this update process. The presentation will highlight past accomplishments and present efforts to build a long-term, shared vision for citywide sustainability. Translation into Spanish, Portuguese and Khmer will be provided upon request. Public visioning sessions in July and August will follow. The city encourages your participation!

Engage online with Community PlanIt during Lowell Sustainability Week and help shape the city's vision for a sustainable future! Community PlanIt is a fun and interactive, web-based tool that provides residents with a way to share their voice, vote on issues that matter to them most and help inform future policy decisions. The City of Lowell has partnered with the Engagement Game Lab at Emerson College and a variety of local organizations to bring this free, innovative new technology to the city.

Lowell Telecommunications Corporation, located at 246 Market Street, will open their computer lab for public access to Community PlanIt on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, June 15th from 3 - 8:00 PM
  • Thursday, June 16th from 3 - 8:00 PM
  • Saturday, June 18th from 10 - 2:00 PM
  • Tuesday, June 21st from 3 - 8:00 PM
