Lowell Celebrates Small Business Week!

National Small Business Week in Lowell

May 16th to 20th

 
Join the City of Lowell as we celebrate National Small Business Week by recognizing and showing support to the small businesses of our community by offering our 4th Annual One-Stop Small Business Resource Fair and a CEO Luncheon featuring successful entrepreneur Sal Lupoli of Sal's Pizza .

The City of Lowell Small Business Week's event will connect you with hundreds of leaders in the small business community that will allow you to walk away with new contacts, innovative ideas, and the right resources that will be beneficial in starting, maintaining, or expanding your small business today!

Pre-Certification Workshop by the Office of Supplier Diversity

Monday, May 16th                                                                             6pm to 8pm

 
The Office of Supplier Diversity, formerly the State Office of Minority and Women Business Assistance (SOMWBA) is an agency within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that helps promote the development of business enterprises owned and operated by minorities or women.
  
Come attend this pre-certification workshop to learn more about both requirements for and the process of certifying your business as woman or minority-owned.

May 17th and 19th                                                                            6:00pm to 8:30pm

Quickbooks is the easy-to-use accounting program millions of small businesses use to organize their finances and provide the information they need to increase profits and grow their businesses.

 

These two classes will cover basic accounting principles and is designed for beginning Quickbooks users.  Learn to:

Free Legal Workshop for Small Businesses

Economic Justice Project

The Lawyers' Committee's Economic Justice Project, WilmerHale law firm, and the Lowell Small Business Assistance Center are hosting a free business legal workshop.  Business attorneys will give an overview of legal issues that many small businesses face.
