WILCO Comes to LeLacheur! Over 9,000 fans poured into LeLacheur Park last summer as two Boston rock legends wowed the crowds in the first ever concert at LeLacheur Park. ollowing the success of the Dropkick Murphy's and Mighty Mighty Bosstones concert, the Spinners and Higher Ground Productions are happy to bring Chicago-based rock band WILCO to LeLacheur Park for a one-night event, July 11, featuring special guest Connor Oberst. The Lowell National Historical Park, and the Lowell Festival Foundation present its annual Summer Music Series at Boarding House Park. The 20th Season starts with concerts that begin June 27 and continue through September 18. The Summer Music Series comprises of folk, classic, roots, world music and the best in blues. Merrimack Repertory Theatre: Young Artists at Play, 7/6/2009 - 8/14/2009. A summer theatre program for students in grades 1-12, that includes theatre camps, performance seminars and musical theatre workshops. Age-appropriate programs are designed to spark the child's imagination, encourage their social and listening skills, and build self-confidence. Theatre professionals and guest artists teach the collaborative process of theatre that requires these diverse and important skills.
