Café Aiello, 30 Gorham Street:
There's a lot to like... A Local's Guide to the Melting Pot" is a cross disciplinary artist's showcase. This first-ever Aiello event will feature spoken word, dance, and music and will explore the idea of Lowell as a melting pot by reflecting on the city's history as well as current efforts to create a stronger sense of community. Each performer was asked, "What do I bring to the melting pot?" Their answers are as varied as their mediums. With so many perspectives, the showcase becomes an artistic re-imaging of one of Massachusetts' most historic areas. This is the first installment in a series of artistic performances that will investigate the ever changing landscape of Lowell. Saturday, June 27, 4:30 PM - 7:00 PM.  For More information: cafeaiellolowell@yahoo.com or www.cafeaiellolowell.com.
