Cookies & Raffle Prizes at the Brush Gallery Holiday Marketplace

Visit the Brush Gallery Holiday Marketplace on Sat. and Sun., Dec. 12 & 13, 11am-5pm, and vote for the perfect cookie! Taste a variety of cookies made by Brush Gallery Artists old family recipes, vote for the one you like best, and then take a copy of the recipe with you so you can make great cookies for the holidays. Festivities include a raffle of a variety of beautiful gift baskets including decadent chocolate, wonderful wine, sumptuous spas and creative candles.

Visitors may also stroll the studios of 13 talented resident artists, see the work of 22 associate artists, and discover an oasis that celebrates art and creativity.

The Holiday Marketplace runs through December 31. Find handcrafted items made here in Lowell by our own artists, including stained glass, jewelry, sculpture, paintings, prints, ceramics, textiles, photography and more.

Unique, Handsown Quilts on Exhibit at Second Wind Cafe

Community Teamwork Inc., The Artship Enterprise, and students from The Robinson School team up to create "Quilt of Personality," a collection of fresh, unique and hand sewn quilts made from old t-shirts, jeans and fabric remnants. Each quilt is inspired by the artist's own personality and viewpoint. No two quilts are alike!

Ayer Lofts Artisans Show Off Their Latest Creations

Join Ayer Loft's artist-residents and their guests as they show off their latest creations including art, sculpture, photography, pottery, and jewelry-making.

Exhibit runs Sun., Dec. 6 through Mon., Dec. 28. Ayer Lofts Gallery is open Saturday and Sunday, 12 - 4pm and is located at 172 Middle Street, Lowell.

Art Is In Bloom at the Chelmsford Library

Members of the Chelmsford Art Society are holding their annual members' show at the Chelmsford Library now through January 21. This year the Art Society's exhibit will feature floral arrangements by the Golden Chain Garden Club of Chelmsford.

The floral arrangements will be created especially for art work created by artists from the Chelmsford Art Society. Six paintings were chosen from the sixty pieces in the exhibit as inspiration for the six floral arrangements. The public is invited to an opening reception at the Library on Saturday, December 12 from 2-4 p.m. There will be music by "Just Strings" and refreshments provided by the members of the Art Society and the Chelmsford Friends of the Library.

Call to Artists

Illustrator Wanted for Book Project

Freelance writer Katrina Munichiello seeks an artist or illustrator to help develop 8-10 black and white illustrations to accompany an anthology of essays focused on tea. All range of mediums and styles are welcomed. Complete artistic credit will be given in the book and the artist will receive three copies of the finished work.
