How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying at Middlesex Community College
The Middlesex Community College Theater Department will stage its spring musical, "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," for SEVEN performances April 19 - 29 in the MCC Theatre, 5 E. Merrimack St., Lowell.
  How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying follows the rise of J. Pierrepont Finch, who uses a handbook to climb the corporate ladder from lowly window washer to high-powered executive.

millWORKS Gallery Inaugural Exhibitions: CAPTURING CULTURE

Capturing Culture, an exhibition of paintings and drawings by internationally acclaimed artist Jeffrey Lipsky. For the past 3 years, Lipsky has been creating artworks that document and interpret events at Jaded, Lowell's longest running gothic/fetish venue. His works capture the essence of these gatherings, and interlace current events and aspects of local culture into each of the compositions.  The artworks are spontaneous, edgy, narrative, deviant, and vibrant.  

-On view April 1- May 31, Opening Reception: Saturday April 14, 4-6 pm. 
Gallery hours: Monday - Saturday 10 - 5, Sundays by Appointment.

Two Sculptors in Two Dimensions
Donna Dodson and Andy Moerlein are featured in Two Sculptors in Two Dimensions at the 119 Gallery.  The show runs from April 3-28.
  This show will feature mono prints and drawings paired with photographs of finished sculptures.  Join the artists for a Panel Discussion: April 14, 2-3pm and the Exhibition Reception: April 14, 3-6pm

The University Gallery presents Boston Sculptors  

The University Gallery at UMass Lowell hosts a group exhibition titled: "Boston Sculptors Celebrate Its 20th Anniversary" from April 2-26.  The University Gallery is located on the ground floor of the McGauvran Student Center, 71 Wilder Street. Hours: Mon-Thurs 10am-7:30pm, Fri 11am-4pm. Outdoor Exhibition on view through June 30.

Angkor Dance Troupe Performance
As part of April's Asian Cultural Celebration, Middlesex Community College will host the Angkor Dance Troupe performing traditional and classical Cambodian dances, and presenting a costume workshop, at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 5, Lowell Campus Cafeteria, 33 Kearney Square. Figure Drawing and Painting Classes with Michael S. Vieira

Whose Art Is It Anyway?

Performance and panel discussion with author Andre Dubus III, photographer Arnon Minkkinen, and musician Alan Williams. During his 1842 trip to America, Dickens advocated tirelessly for international copyright laws. Listen to three distinguished UMass Lowell faculty members share from their work and offer insights into the thorny nexus of art and commerce, including the ethics of intellectual property in the Internet age.  This event is free and open to the public.

Welcome to my world! at the Loading Dock Gallery

Come see, Welcome to my world! fiber creations by Arlette Laan at the Loading Dock Gallery!   On March 28, a forest rises in Lowell's Loading Dock Gallery. Walk through Arlette Laan's installation, Welcome to My World! Mixed media Laan summons trees from old blankets, animals from socks, and clouds from crochet. She reimagines nature on a scale at once whimsical and grand.
