Thursday Night "Concerts on the Corner"

The Athenian Corner presents an outdoor music series featuring local musicians in our outdoor seating area. Former "Lowell High Idol" Tim Bergeron kicks off the series on Thur. July 8 at 5:30pm. All shows are free and open to the public.

Lowell celebrates the World Cup with "Playing for Peace"

Catch World Cup fever right here in Lowell at the City's "Playing for Peace" programs! Events include a soccer film screening, the 1st Annual Youth World Cup, and the ONE Lowell World Cup 2010. Presented in partnership with the City of Lowell, ONE Lowell, Pollard Memorial Library, and the Lowell Film Collaborative.

James B. Francis: Horticulturist, July 11 and 18, 1-2pm

Mr. Francis will always be credited for his masterful management of Lowell's canal system. But, did you know he was also an avid horticulturist? Come take a walk along the streets and canals of his time with a Park Ranger. The tours begin at the National Park Visitor Center and are free. They are approximately half a mile and there is a limit of 30 people. Reservations preferred.

Revolving Museum Summer Mural Program - 5 openings left!

"Menopause The Musical," Aug. 3 and 4

It's time to kick-up those high heels. The international hit show Menopause The Musical® is returning to Lowell Memorial Auditorium. The cast laughs at their woeful hot flashes, forgetfulness, mood swings, wrinkles, night sweats and chocolate binges. The laughter-filled 90-minute production includes parodies from the classics of the '60s and '70s and '80s.

An Evening with Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson, Nov. 20, 8pm

Ian Anderson, known throughout the world of rock music as the flute and voice behind the legendary Jethro Tull, celebrated his 40th year as a recording and performing musician in 2008. Jethro Tull formed in 1968 and became one of the biggest progressive rock bands of the '70s.
