Downtown Business Update

 

 

Dear Downtown Lowell Businesses,

 

The DLBC committee held a very informative meeting with downtown businesses.  Some of the discussion points included:

 

Foot traffic, cobblestone repairs, Great Plates, Commercial Tax increase, Winterfest Downtown component and the overall reputation of the downtown.  We have agreed to meet again on February 8, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. to continue the discussion. 

 

Until then, I would welcome your thoughts about a new initiative the committee would like to put in place.  It is felt by all that attended, that the committee should initiate a Thursday Night shopping night for six months.  Could you please let me know if this is something you would like to take part in?  To be successful the committee believes we should have the input of all Downtown Businesses as this will give the customer options for buying and also a reason to come Downtown to shop.  I look forward to your comments.
