The Full Moon Celebration at the Harmonic Center of the Universe will take place tomorrow night, Saturday, May 9 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m in Lowell's Harmony Park. This event will feature an exclusive display of interactive light and sound art created by renowned regional artists that will engage attendees and embrace the park with flowing light and music! Highlights for this family-friendly event include a full program of music, dance, and performances reflective of the community's diverse cultures, with light-themed art activities guided by the community's teen artists - Revolving Museum Vanguardian Art, Lowell Community Health Center Youth Coalition, United Teen Equality Center Fresh Roots and Community Teamwork Inc Artship Enterprise and Youth Build. The centerpiece sculpture has been created by acclaimed artists Chris Harvey, Olivia Robinson, and Jesse Stiles. In The Harmonic Center of the Universe, a luminous orb hovers on a 30-foot tall bamboo tripod, swathed in garlands of lights. A seat suspended below the structure will beckon attendees to sit and activate the flow of animated lights and music. Activation of the sculpture begins at 8pm for this night only!
