The research, design, and execution of the mural -- which spans more than 500 square feet -- was accomplished by the seniors in the Studio Art IV class under the direction of teacher Lisa Perkins and visiting artist Kathleen Cammarata. Both the Arts League of Lowell and the Brush Art Gallery & Studios are offering temporary space to their members so that they may set up and sell artwork during Lowell Open Studios. The Brush is not charging for sales space, but you MUST register with the Lowell Open Studios organization. Lowell Open Studios is charging a $45 registration fee. This exhibition is being held in collaboration with the Billerica Cat Care Coalition, an all volunteer, no-kill organization that advocates for homeless and feral cats. The Brush Art Gallery will be hosting a fundraiser in conjunction with the exhibition. All proceeds from the fundraiser and sale of artwork will be shared with the Billerica Cat Care Coalition.
