The Greater Lowell Workforce Investment Board Connecting Activities Annual Employer Breakfast took place on October 21st. The breakfast was held at Summer Place Retirement Residence in Chelmsford, MA. The event recognized several local employers who hired students from Lowell High School and the Greater Lowell Technical High School through the Connecting Activities program. This year, GLWIB Chair Kevin Coughlin and City of Lowell Mayor James Milinazzo thanked employers for their continued commitment to youth employment in the region. Jasmine Rodriguez, a Senior at Lowell High School, spoke about her experience working at Summer Place. The GLWIB would like to thank Summer Place for hosting the event and also for being an employer partner.
Employers in Greater Lowell, who would like to hire a student or learn more about our youth programs, should contact Beatriz Sierra or Cathy Sturtevant.
