April 17 - July 25. The story of the survivors of the mass genocide of the "killing fields" of Cambodia expressed through the powerful and inspirational images of its people. Ashundreds of thousands of Cambodians escaped the country, they were admitted to refugee camps and identified through "transit" or "T" number photos. These transit photos - symbolizing the refugees' first glimpse of hope for their future through acceptance into another country - are the poignant foundation of Remember, a series of S-21 prisoners painted on rough silk by Rachel Faller. Amish crib quilts are made with the same saturated colors and simple, striking patterns as traditional large-scale Amish quilts. They are made, however, with a greater degree of freedom than large quilts, precisely because they are intended for rough wear and utilitarian purposes. These small quilts present notable variations in color and design, making Kinder Komforts an eye-opener even for those who think they know Amish quilting.
